Look what’s happening this weekend- Nov. 17-19th

Look what’s happening this weekend.  It’s time to get festive! As much as we may all be fighting it and not wanting to look at those Holiday decorations in the stores or even try to block out those Holiday tunes playing…time to give in, this is happening!

To help kick off your holiday season and help you get in the spirit here are a few festive gatherings that may be of interest to you this weekend:

Saturday, November 18th:

Join the Southlands Shopping Mall in Aurora for their Holiday Hometown Parade & Tree Lighting. From 6-8pm, plus get $1 hot cocoa from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory from 5-9pm!  There will be entertainers, bands and a few surprises in between including a special appearance from Santa himself! FREE

Cherry Creek Shopping Center is having their annual tree lighting & after party from 5-7pm.  There will be live music by Spinphony, dance performances, Aerial Silk Performance & Santa.  Also enjoy complimentary treats such as freshly roasted almonds, hot cocoa, kettle corn, hot cider and savory bites from 801 Chophouse. FREE

Sunday, November 19th:

The Brown Palace is having their 30th Annual Champagne Cascade, floors 4-7 will be open to the public.  Make a $10 donation to Season to Share and receive a commemorative VIP photo with the Cascade plus a chance to win prizes (Broncos, Nuggets & Avalanche and theater tickets, plus getaways at the Brown Palace).  The ceremony begins in the Atrium at noon.  -FREE

If you are in the mood to start your shopping early the Denver Christkindl Market opens today (Nov. 17th) and will be open until Dec. 23rd.  The Skyline Park is transformed into miniature German village.  There are Bavarian musicians playing classic carols, vendors that have specialty one of a kind unique gifts, plus grab some good grub and mulled wine!
