Best Home-Buying Websites

Best Home-Buying Websites

Denver was listed on “Where Homes Are Selling the Fastest” on Realtor Magazine!  The average a home is listed on the market in Denver is 33 days!  That is incredible, plus it is showing home prices increasing compared to a year ago.  With this increase it means if you are ready to buy you better be prepared and have your lender letter ready and your research in tact.

Now we all know in this day and age the web is are best resource and tool for a lot of things including home buying.  Sometimes it can be extremely overwhelming and too much of anything is not good.  I wanted to share some of my favorite websites that our extremely helpful.

1.    Zillow.com– Great website with a lot of info, from home values, how long a property has been on the market, advice columns, mortgage rates, listings, photos and selling price.  Even has an estimate of what your mortgage would cost (great for general idea but need to speak with lender to get exact of what you can afford and qualify)

Zillow also has apps for Android, Android tablet, Blackberry, iPad, iPhone, Kindle and Windows phone.

2.    Trulia.com– One of my favorites, this website has a ton of information including listings and putting it into type of listing, foreclosure type and offers to sort with keywords for anything you are specifically looking for.  Not only does it have listings it has great discussion forums.  You can great advice from realtors and lenders (and sometimes bad advice).  But overall you can get plenty of important questions answered.  (I blog and answer questions in there frequently)

Trulia also has apps for Android, ipad and iphone

3.     Bankrate.com– This site has a good info to where rates are at, although be careful of misguided rates, make sure to read thoroughly into the fine print.  But besides the rate guide it has very useful tools (calculators), articles, blogs, overall has great content to read through and do excellent research.

Bankrate doesn’t have any apps that I am aware of but they are on FaceBook and daily newsletters with financial tips.

These are some of my favorites and hope they help you in your journey to finding a new home.  If you have any questions please give me a call or email me.  If you would like to get pre-approved please complete my secure online loan application!
