Rent vs. Buy

Posted on June 4, 2014 by Ray Williams (NMLS #216267).

What Is it better, rent vs. buy?  In Denver, it’s 43 percent cheaper to buy, which analysts blame on a tight rental market that isn’t being replenished by new construction. Newcomers are flooding in and it’s making the market to rent tougher than ever. According to the Colorado Division of Housing, average monthly rent rose $63 in 2013 to $1,041 and is expected to continue to rise into 2015.

Per the CDH, “People continue to move here and people continue to form households here. New households include people marrying and moving into their own homes, people moving from other states, and people divorcing and creating two households from one.”
