Tis’ the season to be jolly!

The streets are decorated the music has already started playing on the radio stations, decorations have been in the stores since Halloween, it is now time to start the festivities!  There are so many local festivities that started taking place since Thanksgiving!  If you are looking to start a new tradition or add to some of your already existing traditions here is a list of some fun things to do this weekend in and around Denver!

Parade of Lights- Friday Nov.30th @ 8:00 pm & Dec. 1st @ 6:00 pm- This is already a tradition to many families, so if you are new to Denver you will want to experience it at least once and perhaps it may turn into a new tradition for you as well!  Parade is about 60 minutes long, here is the link from 9News that shows the map of the parade as well as areas that are suggested for viewing.  Every year is different and always full of surprises!

Union Station Holiday Market brought to you by the Denver Flea– This year the Denver Flea’s Holiday Flea will be at Union Station.  For four weekends the Denver Flea be at Union Station with 100’s of local vendors.  The Denver Flea is retail shopping reinvented! This is one of my newest traditions.  I discovered the Denver Flea two years ago and it was the Holiday Flea that I found my first experience and has grown now for all their seasonal fleas (Summer Flea, Fall Fleas & Holiday Flea).  This is where you support local artists and makers plus find unique gifts.  So, mark your calendars!  If you are already heading to the Parade of Lights then this is right next to it!

58th Annual Georgetown Christmas Market–  Dec. 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th-This tiny quaint mountain town transforms for two weekends into a Christmas long ago! They have horse-drawn wagon rides through historic Georgetown, appearances by St. Nicholas in traditional dress, Carolers in Victorian costume, dancers and roasted chestnuts and more! There is an outdoor European marketplace with handcrafted gifts, beautiful and unique shops showcase ornaments and decorations, Colorado wine, rare books, jewelry, antiques and more.
